The game of golf is nothing without people dedicated to our profession, and therefore, through internships and PGA WORKS, we focus on providing valuable work experience within the industry that young adults can either utilize to build a career in golf or elsewhere.
Through internships and PGA WORKS, we focus on providing valuable work experience that young adults can utilize regardless of where their career takes them. Our employment pillar is designed to hire college age students to help administer our Foundation Programs and comprehensive tournament schedule. These individuals receive vast experience working in the golf industry in the fields of communications or tournament operations, customer service, and golf administration. These opportunities range from three months to one-year commitments.
New in 2022, we added a PGA WORKS Fellow. The PGA WORKS Fellowship is a program that offers access for individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds into the golf industry to gain experience in all facets of the industry. Over 75% of our full-time staff have either been an intern or PGA WORKS Fellow prior to their full-time career with the STPGA.
