PGA of America REACH Foundation Southern Texas is a 501(c)3 organization focused on impacting lives and communities through the transformative power of golf. Best known as PGA REACH Southern Texas, the Foundation was formed in 1994 and annually impacts thousands of individuals.
Our Foundation stands on four pillars: junior golf, college scholarships, PGA HOPE, & employment opportunities. By focusing on these pillars, PGA REACH Southern Texas strives to uplift, inspire, and empower individuals to reach their full potential.
GENERAL UPDATES
2024 ONLINE AUCTION OPENS IN LESS THAN A MONTH!
It is almost that time of year again, for the annual Online Auction benefiting PGA REACH Southern Texas. PGA REACH Southern Texas has four pillars that continue to impact lives through golf! This year's Online Auction features some unbelievable items and all the money raised goes towards fulfilling our mission through junior golf, college scholarships, PGA HOPE, and employment opportunities
Some of these items include Astros Tickets, Golf Packages around Southern Texas, Dormie Network membership, Destination/Stay & Play trips, and many more items to bid on.
This year's Online Auction will run from August 20th to 27th, so mark your calendars!

SCHOLARSHIP SPOTLIGHT: MEREDITH SPEER
Teeing Up Success: Meredith Speer's Journey in PGA Golf Management.
Currently in her second year at Sam Houston State University, Meredith Speer is paving the way not only for herself, but for all women in the golf industry. Thanks to the support of the George Hannon Scholarship, Meredith is able to pursue a degree in PGA Golf Management and get closer to her dream of becoming a PGA of America Member.

PGA HOPE SPOTLIGHT: SERGIO AVENDAÑO
PGA HOPE Ambassador Sergio Avendaño has a deep passion for making golf accessible and inclusive for everyone. Through his role as a PGA HOPE Ambassador, Sergio plays a key role in introducing Veterans to the therapeutic benefits of golf, offering them hope and fostering a deep sense of camaraderie.
INAUGURAL SOUTHERN TEXAS PGA HOPE CUP RESCHEDULED!
Following conversations with The Clubs of Kingwood, the inaugural STPGA HOPE Cup has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 14th due to course restorations following Hurricane Beryl.

JUNIOR GOLF
ONE WEEK OUT FROM THE BEST WEEK IN GOLF!
The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf is gearing up for our biggest week of Junior Golf ever! We will have three Championships taking place over the course of August 4th - 7th.
1. Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches at Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth.
2. Insperity Invitational Tour Championship for the Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour at Barton Creek Resort & Spa (Lakeside) in Spicewood.
3. STPGA Junior Championship at The Woodlands Country Club (Palmer) in The Woodlands.
